TVS Network play-by-play broadcaster, Merle Harmon, announcing to
the national television audience, "it's the new game in town."

The World Football League reached an agreement with the TVS Sports Television Network on April 4, 1974, to broadcast a nationally televised game of the week.

The New York Stars were featured three times on the TVS WFL Game of the Week during the 1974 regular season.

The TVS Network did not televise World Football League games during the 1975 season. The Charlotte Hornets were televised locally on WRET-TV 36 in Charlotte, North Carolina and twice on Home Box Office (HBO) Sports in 1975.

Below is an actual TVS Sports Network video clip from their inaugural World Football League broadcast on July 11, 1974.
